This Privacy Policy explains how Receipt for Creators LLC ("we," "us," or "our")
collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application and related services (the
"Service"). The Service is intended for users located in the United States who are 18 or older.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique Apple
identifier and, depending on your choices, your name and an email address (which may be an Apple
private relay address).
- Financial and business data you enter. Receipts, expense amounts, merchants,
categories, income entries, and related notes you create in the app.
- Receipt images. Photos of receipts you capture or upload, which we process to
extract their contents (see "AI Processing" below).
- Location data (mileage tracking). If you enable mileage tracking, the app
collects your device's location, including in the background while a trip is being recorded, to
calculate business mileage. Background location is collected only while mileage tracking is active.
You can disable this at any time in your device settings.
- Payment information. When you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe. We
receive subscription status and limited billing details, but we do not collect or store your full
payment card number.
- Device and technical data. A push notification token (if you enable
notifications) and basic technical information needed to operate the app.
- Support communications. Information you provide when you contact us.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide and operate the Service, including extracting data from receipts, calculating mileage,
and generating tax estimates and exports.
- To manage your account, subscription, and free trial.
- To send you service-related notifications you have enabled.
- To secure the Service, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
- To respond to your support requests.
3. AI Processing of Receipts
To read your receipts, we send the receipt image and related text to our AI processing provider,
Anthropic, which returns the extracted details (such as merchant, date, amount, and
category). This processing is performed solely to provide the Service to you. Your receipt data is not
used by us or our provider to train AI models.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers
("subprocessors") who help us operate the Service, and only as needed to perform their functions:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a
business transfer.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any
time from within the app (Settings), which deletes your account and associated data from our active
systems. Some information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes such
as tax and accounting records.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including access controls that
restrict each user's data to that user. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute
security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your
personal information, and to request that we not sell it (we do not sell personal information). You can
exercise most of these rights directly in the app, or by contacting us at
[email protected].
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from
children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide
notice through the app or by other reasonable means, and we will update the effective date above.
